I think Garrett and Mike may be in compition with each other for the person in my life that supports my post card addiction the most!

Garrett was is Montreal a little while ago and brought me back a couple of cards. Honestly I almst did not post about them, but then as I was flipping through them I started thinking about how special Quebec is to me. Bill asked me to marry him in Quebec City, Quebec while on vacation in 2007. The next day we traveled to Montreal. It was a wonderful trip and I honestly couldnt have asked for a better engagement.
So- Thank you Garrett for supporting my problem and giving me happy memories!

Oh! and it goes without saying- I LOVE this card.
I mean come on.
Look at it.
It's brilliant.

127TH-130TH CARD ~ CYPRUS & ENGLAND

If you have been following along you may have noticed that I have received (and wrote about) a great number of cards from my brother-in law Mike who had been stationed in Afghanistan. As I had mentioned in my last post about him, he is now home safe and sound and we are all very very glad. With him home I had assumed that I had received the last of my cards from Mike....but with Christmas morning came a surprise under the Christmas tree for me!
A present from Mike just to me! When your married presents just too you become rare....
Inside a little gift bag were four lovely cards! Two from Cyprus and two from London. He had picked them up on his way back home from Afghanistan. He had his debriefing in Cyprus and a stop over in London! I was so excited to get them and so touched that he thought of me.
It was in all honesty one of the best gifts I received this Christmas- on pure thoughtfulness alone.

Another card from my lovely brother-in-law! You can follow the links to see all of the cards he sent me while over seas. I actually received this card a few weeks ago- but I have gotten really behind on my updates. Mike is actually officially home in Canada now. He got home last night and we are all so happy to have him safe and sound. I can not wait until Christmas to see him and all of the rest of the family (they live in another province).

I think that this card is really interesting and unique. The back of the card does not give much information so I am assuming it is an ad card for a clothing store some where in Afghanistan. I will have to ask him where he go it when I see him (or I could always just email him...) .
Anyway- it was an interesting final card in the "Mike goes to Afghanistan series" - I plan to put all the cards he sent me away in a special place - so that his future children and nieces/nephews can read them. A little bit of family history.
