68TH CARD ~ FRANCE

PRIVATE CARD
sent from : Louise in
Languedoc-Roussillon,France

Photo of: Le kiosque de Valence by Raymond Peynet

Ok! Where do I start. This is a painting/drawing done by the French artist
Raymond Peynet. This particular painting is my avatar for just about every site I am a memeber of (not blogger however). It all started when one day I was in a bookstore and I found a bookmark with this painting on it. I have never heard of Peynet before but I LOVE knitting and music so I just had to buy it ~if you look close you'll notice that the lady is knitting the sheet music for the man~ I fell in love with the painting and I fell in love with Peynet - So a few years later when I joined an online knitting group I thought it would make the perfect avatar :)

Anyway you can imagine how surprised and beyond delighted when I found this is my mail box. THEN I got simply giddy when I flipped it over and saw the stamps! (pictured above the post card!) Seriously...how is this not the best thing ever
.

ALSO~ my very FIRST card from France! :)

Louise! This card is simply just so wonderful! To say I love it would be an understatement! I am just so touched at how thoughtful it is! Thank you thank you thank you! :)
